Beginning in August 2014, we hope you’ll be at one of the CCDS sponsored cardiovascular meetings available every Monday from 12 – 1pm. The first Monday of each month will feature the Cardiovascular Seminar series, with a full lunch provided to the first 80 attendees. The second year of this popular seminar series will include leading cardiovascular and cerebrovascular basic scientists and clinicians from across the US. On the second Monday of the month make plans to attend the Clinical Cardiovascular Conference. Organized by Dr. Horacio D’Agostino, the Clinical Cardiovascular Conference will feature clinical presentations in areas such as vascular surgery, radiology and cardiology.
The Cardiovascular Training Group (CVTG) will meet on the last Monday of each month (the week prior to the Cardiovascular Seminar Series). The mission of the CVTG is to provide an opportunity for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and residents to gain better understanding of cardiovascular pathophysiology. Dr. David Krzywanski (Anatomy) will preside over relevant literature discussions from key articles provided by the CCDS invited seminar speaker. By dedicating an hour every Monday to Cardiovascular Disease, the CCDS will continue to build and grow cardiovascular research on campus and forge a lasting association between our basic science and clinical faculty. So, mark your calendars now and plan to attend as often as possible!
